It is straightforward to get the system up and running. In our tests, I did not meddle a lot with the dip switches as it was easy to even overclock at default voltage (my duron 600 is set to 1.7v by modifying on the L7 bridge). The system is super stable even at high clock speed at the max of 150Mhz by setting the dip switch to 133mhz i am able to change the FSB ranging from 133 to 150mhz all within BIOS by press CTRL+C during bootup time. If you need to run between 100 and 133, make sure you set the dip switch to 100Mhz and manipulate the FSB within BIOS as well. This is a hidden feature of Gigabyte boards, if you own a recent Gigabyte board, you might be able to do that as well.

"To prevent leaks, testers are completely in the dark," a source told me yesterday. "Luna will come with Beta 2, but I can't say more than that," another source said cryptically. According to Foley, the Luna UI could very well be an XML-based .NET shell. All the icons will change, as will Internet Explorer (IE) 6.0's look and feel. The transition to high-color icons has been underway for some time (see my Whistler reviews on the Windows SuperSite for details). That IE 6.0 might be closely tied to Windows XP has been a matter of speculation for some weeks now. According to reports, Microsoft might release IE 6.0 only as part of Windows XP and not as a separate free download for other Windows OSs. This scenarion is unlikely, however.

The Kanie Hedgehog 238M looks like it's going to be the next Socket A/370 heatsink to beat. It looks great and performs even better. Even with Prime95 and Quake 3 Arena loops running in the background for one and a half hours. It was still able to keep CPU temps down to 43 degrees Celsius with the case closed. It is also the first heatsink made of solid copper that has been mass produced and brought down to a very reasonable price.
