The question is, what graphics card would you like with your Power Mac G4? The 533MHz, 667MHz and 733MHz Power Mac G4 models come loaded with the NVIDIA GeForce2 MX with 32MB of SDRAM. And if you’d prefer to have your system built to order, you can choose the ATI RADEON graphics accelerator with 32MB of DDR (Double Data Rate) RAM. In fact, with built-to-order systems, you can get either of these cards with any Power Mac G4 model you choose.[break]Zo'n belangrijke deal sleept nVidia niet elke dag in de wacht, en dus kunnen we van hun een press release vinden waarin ze blij vertellen hoe fatastisch het is:[/break]NVIDIA® (NASDAQ:NVDA - news) Corporation today announced its initial entry into the Macintosh market with its GeForce2 MX graphics processing unit (GPU). NVIDIA's award-winning GeForce2 MX is included in Apple's new line of Power Mac G4 computers unveiled today. "We were expecting a six-month delay and we're so ecstatic about the one-month delay, we hardly heard the rest of the call," said one source familiar with Friday's briefing.

Resolution and picture quality with this monitor is first rate. We increased resolution to the max value of 1024x768 clear and crisp. Next we turned up the brightness and contrast all the way to see what impact this had on picture quality. We've seen some monitors crap-out when the brightness and contrast are maxed out. So much so that the masking behind the glass becomes visible. Obviously the Samsung 750s didn't have these problems - or else we would have chucked it out the bloomin' window! Colour quality and pixel definition remained sharp, and although there are only a few colour temperatures the range is fully adequate. A temperature of about 6500K looked to be the optimal setting as it was not too warm, and not overly cold. As 17" monitors go, the 750s ranks in at the high to middle ground. It is by no means the best monitor out there because, well it is only a 17", but pushing that aside for the moment it is damn fine for its' size. Additionally the anti-reflective coating is not too visible in reflected light which is good to see.
