Silentsnow zag op Digit-Life een Digit-Life een plaatje van een nieuwe videokaart van InnoVision. Dit bedrijf wil binnenkort een tweetal nieuwe producten gebaseerd op Trident (jep, die bestaan nog 
) chipsets introduceren. De eerste is de BladeXP128. Zoals zijn naam doet vermoeden is deze kaart voorzien van de Blade XP videochip en een 128 bit brede verbinding naar het videogeheugen. Deze is gericht op mensen die performance willen maar niet al te ruim in hun budget zitten. Daarnaast komt er ook nog een BladeT64, welke het met minder bandbreedte moet doen en dan ook een stuk goedkoper moet worden:

ATi will be announcing on Tuesday a new technology to be incorporated into their upcoming Radeon 2 graphics chip called TRUFORM. This new technology will let game developers make in-game models look more real than ever before. Basically the technology works by letting the hardware transform an image that is flat into a rounded image resulting in things like more realistic facial modeling. TRUFORM is said to use Direct X 8.0 functions so it should be only a couple of small steps to incorporate it into games. We'll have more details in the following weeks.

The sources said the agreement stipulated that AOL was currently required to deliver AOL 6.0 for Windows XP, known as the Steppenwolf client, by mid-July. As such, it was sending a team of developers and other staff to the Redmond campus for several weeks to work on integration issues around the bundling, followed by another visit to test application compatibility.This was necessary to ensure that Steppenwolf met Microsoft’s internal deadlines and did not delay the official global launch of Windows XP on October 25.
