De ProviderTest schrijft dat Demon Internet gisteren op de ADSL studiedag in de ArenA heeft laten zien dat haar ADSL-service succesvol is aangesloten op het BaByXL-breedbandnetwerk. Deze aansluiting verloopt via het netwerk van Energis. Demon wil de aansluitingen echter eerst nog een aantal weken testen voordat deze beschikbaar komt voor de klanten. In eerste instantie zullen alleen klanten uit Amsterdam, Diemen en Zwolle gebruik kunnen maken van de ADSL-service van Demon, maar BaByXl verwacht dat dit snel zal uitbreiden naar de rest van het land:
BaByXL directeur Frank van der Heijden zegt over de samenwerking: "Deze eerste aansluiting voor Demon is voor ons een mijlpaal. Hiermee is bewijs geleverd van onze ADSL-ervaring, die een verdere roll-out van onze service zal bespoedigen. Wij hebben nu reeds ruimte in 150 door KPN vrijgegeven wijkcentrales, welke cruciaal is om ons netwerk uit te kunnen bouwen. De bedoeling is dat de toegang tot de ruim 1000 overige wijkcentrales snel zal plaatsvinden. Wij hebben met de huidige succesvolle aansluitingen het begin gemaakt. Nu komt het aan op efficint plannen en bouwen aan ons innovatieve DSL-netwerk om eind 2003 een nagenoeg landelijk dekkend netwerk te hebben gerealiseerd voor zowel ADSL als SDSL."
With so many features of the the SB Live!, where do we start? Basically, most of you know about the features that follow the original Platinum card. First, the Platinum 5.1 comes with Environmental Audio Effects(EAX), which allows you to augment original sound with effects such as Concert Hall, Auditorium and Underwater.
I had some compatibility issues with the OCW Ofrio cooler that will simply prevent some users from utilizing this cooler, as the massive heatsink can potentially block off the first SDRAM memory slot, or prevent the user from installing the heatsink because of capacitor placement. Also, the side mounted fan will prevent the user from using two of these coolers in conjunction with a dual processor motherboard(the MSI 694D in my testing), but this doesn't mean that this will prevent you from using a dual processor configuration, as the user can install the Ofrio on the processor that is having trouble running at a particular frequency and place it in the second CPU slot.
The CARDEXpert cards proved to perform very reliable and even with the enhanced settings our cards didn't crash a single time. The Expertool Plus utility works very well too. In the future we'll certainly hear more form CARDEXpert and hopefully they'll continue making cards that appeal both to the general public and the overclocking community.
In other words, the today’s Pentium 4 (Willamette-423) will have a very short lifetime: less than half a year. The next Willamette version with a 478-pin Socket looks much more promising, because the future 0.13micron Pentium 4 CPUs will be pin-to-pin compatible with them.
Early in the year after discovering in a routine check that it owned the patent for the hyperlink, BT wrote to 17 U.S. ISPs (Internet service providers), including Prodigy, asking them to pay for the privilege of using the technology through licensing agreements. The suit filed against Prodigy, which claims to be largest consumer DSL (digital subscriber line) ISP in the U.S., is the first suit BT has filed to protect its hyperlink patent, according to Orr.

GD: What does this mean for the future of NVIDIA?
. Het is overigens wel de moeite waard om te vermelden dat nVidia met deze overname gelukkig niet een echte monopoly positie krijgt, concurrentie in bijvoorbeeld de vorm van ATi zal voort blijven bestaan
