MSI heeft een eigen tweakguide on-line gezet voor haar MSI K7T266 Pro moederbord. Het gaat hier om een moederbord dat is voorzien van DDR-SDRAM geheugen. In de tweakguide wordt, zonder dat 't erg ingewikkeld wordt, aandacht besteed aan het optimaal configureren van je systeem om zo ook daadwerkelijk rendement te halen uit je (nog steeds) kostbare DDR-geheugen.
In het verhaal komt onder andere aan de orde hoe je de CAS-latency van het geheugen in je BIOS verandert, voor de gevorderde tweaker wellicht geen probleem, maar voor de beginner natuurlijk wèl een vaag begrip. Daarnaast geeft MSI ook nog wat uitleg over wàt DDR-SDRAM nu eigenlijk is, en komt men met een aantal benchmarks van eigen moederbordjes. Overigens is een flink deel van de tekst niet alleen van toepassing op MSI plankjes, maar geldt 't ook voor andere modelletjes.

DDR Performance Mystery
Some users doubt the performance of DDR, because same test reports of websites showed DDR performance is not much higher than PC-133 SDRAM no matter using Apollo Pro266 or KT266 platform. Sometimes, the performance of DDR is lower than SDRAM. Only when using AMD760 motherboard, the performance is better. MSI K7 Master-S is a good example. It got good reviews and best performance for DDR platform from website “Tom's Hardware.”
According to some testing website, this kind of test result is due to DDR performance cannot be maximize while using PentiumR III and Athlon CPU as CPU design cannot fit the maximum memory bandwidth. But there is a room to improve MSI K7T266 Pro motherboard, if users use the performance BIOS and modify certain default value.

You have seen the scores and looked at the screen shots. GeForce3 is certainly an impressive product that provides excellent frame rates at high resolutions and partly even at full scene anti aliasing. However, you've got to pay some hefty $400 for it, which will leave it out of reach for the majority of PC-users.
