Vipertje schrijft dat bij Thresh's Firingsquad een review van de PA256Pro te vinden is. Dit kaartje komt in de benchmarks net iets beter te voorschijn als een standaard GeForce 2 kaartje dankzij een standaard iets hogere core snelheid. Over het speciale Bios zijn ze niet erg te spreken, ze vinden het niet fijn de computer opnieuw op te starten om de snelheid te veranderen. Ze schrijven jammer genoeg niks over voltage tweaking op deze kaart, toch de feature die deze kaart in mijn ogen apart zet van alle andere GeForce2 kaarten:
Not a great card, but not a bad card either. As far as performance goes, the card does pretty much the same as other GeForce2 cards. We experienced some issues with the hardware monitoring system of the card. Having the overclocking utilities for the video card in the video BIOS didn't make us too happy either. This required us to reboot to make a speed adjustment. With other video cards one only has to shift a slider over in order to affect the speed on the card. If there are benefits to this design they definitely don't show when it comes to overclocking.
Regarding the software bundle, we weren't too pleased by what was offered here. Other companies have systems whereby you can either choose what games you want, or ship with a lower price and not have any games at all. One of the key deciding factors in deciding which card you want, after the chipset has been narrowed down, is what types of games are included and price.
A strange overclocking BIOS, lackluster titles and average performance means there isn't much to set this card apart from the pack. Unless this board is considerably cheaper than other offerings we don't see a compelling reason to rush out and get it.

Neon lighting interested me, because I knew about how cool PCBs looked under black light, so I wanted to show off the innards of my machine with black lights.
