The quality was pretty much the same between the PS2 DVD and the Stand alone DVD player with the Mitsubishi and RCA televisions. The Mitsubishi television didn't look as good as the RCA television but it still looked good. The picture was nice and very smooth. No flaws or junky video. You can buy the Playstation 2 and have great gaming and great DVD quality. A stand alone DVD players costs from $200 - $600. I would say the PS2 is great buy and won't be ripped off. If you don't care for gaming, your better off going with a stand alone DVD player at around $200 bucks or even $150 and let it do the same thing for a lower price.
[...] Something that did not please me was the fact the the Playstation 2 does not have many features for running the DVD. It has the basics unlike a stand alone dvd player which has a lot more features. I don't really care about these little things but it's good to have them. Many will not care and others will.
