Software-update: Joomla! 3.8.10

Versie 3.8.9 van Joomla! is uitgekomen en de dag erna is wegens een fout op Windows Server al een opvolger verschenen. Joomla! is een dynamisch, in php geschreven contentmanagementsysteem, dat kan worden gebruikt om bijvoorbeeld een weblog, website of samenwerkingssite te maken. Om het programma in het Nederlands te gebruiken kun je onder andere op Joomla Community terecht. In versie 3.8 zijn onder meer voorbereidingen gemaakt om naar de nu nog in ontwikkeling zijnde Joomla! 4.0 te kunnen migreren en is ondersteuning voor Sodium Encryption toegevoegd. De release notes sinds versie 3.8.8 zien er als volgt uit:

Joomla 3.8.10 is addressing one bug introduced into Joomla 3.8.9. This release is fixing the autoloader for Windows platforms. If you are using a Windows platform, please update your site to 3.8.10 as soon as possible.

voordat je deze update installeert Zorg dat je een goede backup gemaakt hebt. Deze update heeft ervoor gezorgd dat veel websites Onbereikbaar zijn geworden.

goede backup maakt de update zelf als je Akeeba Backup hebt geinstalleerd.

Dat geldt alleen voor Joomla websites die onder Windows Servers draaien. Dat is opgelost met die 3.8.10 versie.

Indien je gebruik maat van het Helix framework, zorg er dan voor dat je deze eerst upgrade naar 2.5.4 voordat je Joomla gaat upgraden naar 3.8.10. Helix <2.5.4 werkt niet goed samen met Joomla 3.8.10.
