Versie 1.7.1 van Joomla is uitgebracht. Joomla is een dynamisch, in php geschreven contentmanagementsysteem, dat kan worden gebruikt om bijvoorbeeld een weblog, website of collaboratiesite te maken. Om het programma in het Nederlands te gebruiken, kun je onder andere op Joomla! Community terecht. In versie 1.7 zijn onder andere de installatie en het updaten vereenvoudigd, en heeft het ontwikkelteam toegezegd nu elke zes maanden met een nieuwe release te komen.
