IDM Computer Solutions heeft niet alleen zijn website van een nieuw jasje voorzien, maar heeft ook een nieuwe versie van UltraEdit uitgebracht. Deze multifunctionele teksteditor kan overweg met gewone ascii-tekst, maar ook hex- en html-bestanden zijn geen probleem. Verder beschikt het over features zoals macro's, verticale blokselectie, syntax highlighting, een ingebouwde ftp-client en een spellingcontrole in diverse talen. In versie 14.00 is onder andere de mogelijkheid tot het versleutelen van bestanden toegevoegd, kan er tijdens de installatie worden gekozen voor welk doel de editor gebruikt gaat worden en past het programma zich daarop aan en kan er direct vanuit het programma naar gemarkeerde tekst worden gezocht bij een aantal populaire zoekmachines op internet.
