WASHINGTON (CBS.MW) -- Microsoft formally presented its best and final offer to settle an antitrust case as a federal judge prepared to rule against software giant as early as Tuesday, published reports said Friday.Microsoft presented its settlement proposal to government lawyers Friday afternoon, the Associated Press reported. Lawyers for the company and the government were prepared to meet in Chicago with the mediator in the settlement talks, Appeals Court Judge Richard Posner.
