If you haven't figured it out by now, FSAA is here to stay, and we welcome it with open arms. You'll immediately notice the difference in bright, open games like Counterstrike, and while it probably won't help you line up your shot any better, it sure looks pretty.
Keep in mind that the performance of the graphics core plays a key role in the framerate of a given game with FSAA enabled - that's why the Voodoo4 4500 won't have an option to enable 4X FSAA, it simply lacks the horsepower necessary for a decent framerate.
Of course, we've discussed this in the past with our fillrate vs. CPU article. The main goal of our latest FSAA comparison is to give Athlon users (or those interested in purchasing one) an idea of just what they can expect with a GeForce 2 or Voodoo5 5500. We're sure over time these numbers will change, and when they do we'll do our best to keep you updated.
In the meantime, enjoy the pretty screenshots and dream of your favorite game in all its FSAA glory!
