Apple heeft versie 9.1 van iOS uitgebracht. Apple iOS is het besturingssysteem voor de iPhone, de iPod touch en de iPad. Versie 9.1 van iOS kan alleen op de iPhone 4s, iPad 2 en vijfde generatie iPod touch of nieuwer worden geïnstalleerd en moet onder andere detecteren wanneer een gebruiker de telefoon laat zakken bij het opnemen van Live Photos. Verder zijn er 150 nieuwe emoji characters toegevoegd en zijn er weer diverse en beveiligingsproblemen verholpen en bugfixes doorgevoerd.
