Naast AandTech heeft ook HardwareCentral een review van een Celeron 600 geschreven. Zij zijn in tegenstelling tot AnandTech wel aardig positief over de CPU, de 66MHz bus is wel een probleem maar niet echt groot als je naar de onderstaande Quake III benchmarks kijkt.
Looking at the Quake III Arena benchmarks, we can clearly see that at 1024x768 both the GeForce DDR and the Voodoo3 3000 are fill rate limited. In the 640x480 resolution, however, we can see some real differences. What is actually surprising to see is that the Celeron II isn’t as severely bottlenecked by its 66 MHz FSB as initially expected. It is approximately 25% slower than the Pentium III 600 running at 133 MHz FSB. It is even more surprising when taking into account that the 440BX is actually running out of specification here, with the AGP bus clocked at 100 MHz, 33% over spec.
