Intel heeft gisternen een aantal nieuwe Pentium III, Xeon en Celeron varianten gereleased. De PIII familie werd uitgebreid met 850 en 850MHz modellen, aan de Xeon reeks werd een 866MHz versie toegevoegd en bij de Celeron zagen we de Celeron A zijn terugkomst maken in de vorm van de C500A en C533A. Dit zijn net zoals de nieuwe Celeron 566 en 600 processors met FC-PGA packaging. Tegelijkertijd werden de oudere PIII's, Xeons en Celerons in prijs verlaagd.
