Martijn Klingens schrijft: "Quantum heeft specificaties gepost voor de opvolger van de Atlas 10K, die zij heel droog Atlas 10K II genoemd hebben. Met een zoektijd van 4,7 (!) ms en een piek-doorvoer van 40 MB per seconde is een simpele Ultra-Wide adapter zeker niet meer voldoende 
.
Er is keuze uit een Ultra160/m SCSI versie met 160 MB/s busdoorvoer, of een Fibre Channel versie met 200 Mb/s doorvoer (dan kan je dus maximaal 5 van deze jongens op piekniveau laten blazen 
). De SCSI versie is downwards compatible met oude controllers, maar dan zal-ie niet optimaal presteren":
