The MSI 694D seems extremely stable and a great buy (especially without the Promise ATA100 controller, which adds about $40 to the price tag) for those looking for a FC-PGA SMP solution. For those wishing to overclock, this motherboard has a lot of potential, but a few issues still to be worked out. Don't expect ANY program to double in speed just because you have two CPUs installed - most won't. Even programs that support SMP systems (like Quake 3) may not do so fully. Also, don't forget that you need a SMP capable OS like Linux or W2K - W95, W98, and WMe will simply ignore the 2nd CPU. On the other hand, if your into burning CDs while playing a game, or running multiple instances of your favorite CPU burner (SETI, Prime, RC5...) this is undoubtedly the board to go for. The minor quirks will hopefully be worked out in the next few BIOS releases.
