Software-update: Scribus 1.2.5

Scribus is een opensource programma gericht op alle zaken van desktop publishing. Het kan gebruikt worden voor het bewerken en opmaken van documenten voor onder meer drukwerk die vervolgens als PDF of Postscript opgeslagen kunnen worden. De ontwikkelaars hebben versie 1.2.5 de deur uitgedaan die momenteel alleen nog als broncode binnen te halen is en op onder andere Linux, Mac OS X en Windows gecompileerd kan worden. De meegeleverde aankondiging ziet er als volgt uit:

The Scribus Team is pleased to announce the release of Scribus 1.2.5. The Scribus team urges all users and distros to use this latest stable release. The 1.2.5 release is focused on enhancements, bugfixes and additional documentation. 1.2.5 refines the 1.2 series with many fixes and some enhancements:

• The major addition in 1.2.5 is fontconfig support to the 1.2 branch. This should eliminate start up errors on some distros and ensure Scribus finds all correctly installed fonts on user's systems.
• The Icon Tool Bars are now dockable and can be made to float in the Scribus window allowing more screen space for documents.
• This release also fixes a long standing issue with incorrect colors with PDF exported from Scribus in Adobe Reader 7.0x due to undocumented changes in Adobe Reader.
• Other minor bug fixes and many updated translations.
