In het forum van Winamp is gisteren een nieuwe bètaversie verschenen van de overbekende mediaspeler. Dit programma is in verschillende varianten te downloaden. De Lite-versie speelt alleen muziekbestanden af, terwijl er met de Full-versie ook videobestanden kunnen worden bekeken, er naar webradiouitzendingen (SHOUTcast) kan worden geluisterd en kunnen er in beperkte mate ook cd's mee worden geript. Deze keer is er ook een standaardversie die op de mediablibliotheekfunctie na gelijk is aan de full-versie. De Pro-versie tenslotte kan ook bestanden coderen en cd's branden. Voor deze features moet echter wel betaald worden. Het changelog van deze release ziet er als volgt uit:
