Apple heeft versie 7 van iOS uitgebracht. Apples iOS is het besturingssysteem voor de iPhone, de iPod touch en de iPad. Versie 7 van iOS kan alleen op de iPhone 4, iPad 2 en vijfde generatie iPod touch of nieuwer worden geïnstalleerd. De meest in het oog springende verandering is natuurlijk dat Apple voor het eerst in de iOS-geschiedenis de gebruikersinterface heeft aangepast. Daarnaast is er een nieuwe Control Center waar alle belangrijke functies kunnen worden gevonden en kunnen nu alle apps op de achtergrond draaien, waar dat voorheen alleen voor bijvoorbeeld navigatie het het afspelen van muziek mogelijk was.
