De zevende bètarelease van Winamp versie 5.7 is beschikbaar gekomen. Deze mediaspeler is in verschillende varianten te downloaden. Met de Lite-versie kunnen alleen muziekbestanden worden afgespeeld; met de Full-versie kunnen ook videobestanden worden bekeken en Shoutcast-uitzendingen worden beluisterd. Verder beschikt de Full-versie over een mediabibliotheek en kunnen er cd's mee worden geript. Als laatste is er de Pro-versie, die 15,50 euro kost. Met de Pro-versie is het onder andere mogelijk om bestanden te coderen, cd's te branden en videobestanden met h.264-compressie af te spelen.
Nieuw in versie 5.7, waarvan als bètarelease alleen de Full-versie is te downloaden, is Winamp Cloud. Met deze dienst is het mogelijk om ook vanaf bijvoorbeeld een Android-apparaat toegang tot je muziek te hebben. Verder is het mogelijk om Winamp in safe mode te starten en is de integratie met Windows 8 en multimonitoromgevingen verbeterd. Het changelog van deze release ziet er als volgt uit:
