iXBT-Hardware heeft wat info gepost over Intel's processor en chipset plannen voor tot en met begin 2001. Intel's Willamette / P4 zal later dit jaar op 1.3GHz worden geïntroduceerd (yeah baby! ) en de i815 Solano chipset is ook op schema en zal in het derde kwartaal gereleased worden:
Intel 2000-2001 CPUs plans
- Willamette is going to be a mainstream solution (like PIII 700-750 today) by Q1'2001 when it goes to 1.5 GHz. Willamette will debut this year at 1.3 GHz
- Celeron will reach 700 MHz in Q2, 733 MHz in Q4 and > 733 MHz in Q1'2001
- 667 MHz Timna will go up to 700-733 MHz in Q1'2000
- Mobile Pentium III will reach 9xx MHz in Q1'2001 and 700MHz (1.35 V version)
- PIII Xeon with Cascades core and 2 MB L2 on-die cache will reach 800 MHz in Q2'2000 and 9xx MHZ in Q4
