TransGaming is pleased to announce the release of Cedega 4.3.1, dubbed Cottage, giving TransGamers access to more Windows games in Linux, with greater ease. Cedega 4.3.1 is a bug fix release designed to enhance the game play experience of a number of games.
New Features:
- Better WGL extension support. This gets World of WarCraft 1.3.0 or later working in OpenGL mode. This improvement, previously released as a hotfix, is now available in a standard release.
- A workaround for an ATI fragment program bug. This should fix pixel shader regressions in World of WarCraft on ATI cards.
- Improvements for older distributions. The pthread-emulation layer has been fixed, meaning issues with the preloader on older Linux distributions such as Red Hat 7.x should now be resolved.
- Fixes to the winelibwrap script that is part of the preloader solution. Having a file or directory called wine in your home directory should no longer result in parts of the Cedega script failing to run.
- libpng3 is now included in the packages and is no longer required as a dependancy.
