TransGaming heeft alweer een nieuwe versie uitgebracht van zijn programma Cedega met 5.0.1 als het versienummer. Dit is een eigen implementatie van Microsoft's Win32 Application Programming Interfaces (API) voor het Linux-platform, waarmee het mogelijk is om Windows-spellen op diverse Linux-distributies te spelen wanneer je gebruik maakt van de Linux Kernel 2.4 of recenter. De ontwikkelaars hebben de command line mogelijkheden verbeterd zoals te lezen is in de volgende aankondiging:
Cedega 5.0.1 is now available with improved command line support. The integrated command line abilities included in Cedega 5.0 are expanded and easier to use than before. Simply run: cedega foo.exe to start your application directly. Run cedega --help or man cedega for more information on command line features.

dat doet het helaas dus niet, ook viel me op dat het spel slechter liep (meer problemen met renderen van bv spells) dan dat het deed met 4.4.3.
