Cedega 5.1.3 Released - release notes
Once the Blizzard game servers were back up, further testing (and user reports) showed that OpenGL mode was no longer working in World of Warcraft with the 1.10 patch. While D3D mode continued to work very well, TransGaming knows that our users value their right to choice and many choose to play in OpenGL as well. As such, we are happy to announce the release of Cedega 5.1.3 which fixes OpenGL in World of Warcraft 1.10.
Cedega 5.1.2 Released - release notes
Cedega 5.1.2 is now available and fixes several issues caused by the World of Warcraft 1.10 patch. Thanks to TransGaming's crackerjack development team, this fix comes hot on the heels of Blizzard's own release. In fact, Cedega 5.1.2 was ready before most WoW servers have even implemented the patch (the first time) but couldn't be released until fully tested on the live servers! This update does not currently fix issues with OpenGL since the 1.10 patch and only fixes the patch installer. Transgaming once again brings the fastest updates and best games to the Linux gaming community.
Cedega 5.1.1 Released - release notes
Available as of March 14, 2006 Cedega 5.1.1 brings a bundle of fixes to users. In World of Warcraft®, server messages will now be visible thanks to a patch submitted by Brian G. A number of fixes providing greater stability in EVE-Online® means it no longer crashes going to the menus. New installations of Star Wars Galaxies™ will once again startup correctly. This and more are now available in TransGaming's latest release.
Cedega 5.1 Released - release notes
On February 15, 2006 TransGaming put forth the latest Cedega release, 5.1, codenamed "Marlin".
Cedega 5.1 is jam packed with exciting new features, fixes and games. Support for three recently released blockbuster titles; Sid Meier's Civilization® IV, FIFA® 06 and Need for Speed™: Most Wanted have been added to the Cedega repertoire. These titles required improvements to various facets of Cedega including: updates to copy protection and improvements to audio and core graphics.
With the new copy protection improvements, many game titles that previously failed to start will now be able to pass copy protection. Our hard working developers were also able to provide fixes for memory smashing issues in World of Warcraft® which now make for better out-of-the-box compatibility and improved game play. Also included is an update for mouse issues introduced in a recent Star Wars Galaxies™ patch.
On top of all this, Cedega 5.1 sports improved installer support, non-standard resolutions for wide screen monitors and better handling for international keyboard layouts. The Cedega user interface also received a number of improvements including a new layout that will account for different font sizes and styles, increased UTF-8 support to enhance internationalization abilities and better system auto-detection. With all this and more, Cedega will easily retain its status as the king of Linux gaming.
