De open-source en crossplatform instant messenger Gaim heeft een update naar versie 1.0.1 gekregen. De update is vanaf deze pagina voor verschillende besturingssystemen te downloaden en weegt ongeveer 4,6 megabyte. Gaim stelt je in staat om te chatten via de netwerken van AIM, ICQ, MSN, Yahoo, IRC, Jabber, Gadu-Gadu en Zephyr. Het is daarbij mogelijk om bij de verschillende netwerken gelijktijdig ingelogd te zijn. In deze release zijn een tweetal nieuwe features toegevoegd en een negen bugfixes doorgevoerd:
