Videokaartbakker ATi heeft in de vorm van beta 2 onlangs nieuwe Catalyst-stuurprogramma's uitgebracht voor AMD64-systemen die Windows XP 64-bit draaien. Deze update volgt de in mei 2004 beschikbaar gestelde eerste bètaversie op. Catalyst AMD64 beta 2 is vanaf deze locatie neer te halen en bestaat uit de display driver en de control panel. Helaas werkt deze release niet met alle Radeon-videokaarten, maar wel met de kaarten uit de 9500-, 9600 XT-, 9700 Pro, 9800- en Xx00-series. Welke veranderingen ATi heeft doorgevoerd in de tweede bètaversie is niet bekend. Wel zijn de volgende known issues te vinden in de release notes:
