QNAP heeft een update voor versie 5.2 uitgebracht van de firmware die op diverse modellen van zijn nas-apparaten staat. In versie 5.2 heeft QNAP de beveiliging verbeterd. Zo is er een Security Center toegevoegd die onder meer tegen ransomware moet beschermen. Verder is er een Kernel Mode SMB Daemon die smb-operaties moet versnellen en is er ondersteuning voor TCG-Ruby Self-Encrypting Drives toegevoegd. Network & Virtual Switch
- Enhanced the App Center user interface by adding a new "Pending Actions" section to help users identify apps that require additional setup before use.
Fixed Issues
- Optimized the user interface for configuring interfaces, virtual switches, VLAN, WiFi, and IPv4 and IPv6 settings. The IPv4 and IPv6 configuration pages now include DNS settings.
- When configuring the IPv6 connection type with "Auto-Configuration (Stateless)", users can now select "Generate a SLAAC address with a secret key" for a more secure way to generate the IPv6 address.
- Fixed an issue where Storage & Snapshots would stop responding when loading the management window of a static volume with an "Error" status.
- Resolved an issue for some users where the NAS could not detect the QNA-UC5G1T network adapter.
- Fixed an issue where changes made to the "php.ini" file were not applied after restarting the NAS web server.
- Fixed an issue where testing the NTP server connection would sometimes fail even though the connection was healthy.
- Resolved an issue where users accessing their NAS via SMB might fail to access searched files if Qsirch was installed on the NAS.
- Updated the "Backup/Restore" page in Help Center. Corrected the default password information in the "Restore to Factory Default" section.
- Addressed an issue where the NAS might suddenly restart on its own under certain circumstances.
- Fixed an issue where, under certain circumstances, users could not successfully install Hyper Data Protector after joining the NAS to an LDAP domain.
- Fixed an issue in iSCSI & Fibre Channel where users could use hyphens (-) when editing the name of an existing LUN, which should not be allowed.
- Corrected a typo in an SNMP response.
- Fixed an issue where users could not see the link bar on the login screen even after enabling "Show the link bar" in "Control Panel > System > General Settings > Login Screen".
- Fixed an issue to ensure the system can reliably store up to 10 backup system configuration files.
- Resolved an issue where Control Panel could not display system information when Resource Monitor was open.
