Software-update: UniFi 5.9.29

Ubiquiti Networks heeft een stabiele versie vrijgegeven van UniFi, met 5.9.29 als versienummer. Dit is een netwerkmanagementcontroller waarmee een netwerkomgeving op basis van UniFi-hardware beheerd kan worden. Denk daarbij aan het inregelen van accesspoints, routers en switches om tot een optimaal dekkend, uniform netwerk te komen. Daarnaast kun je een hotspotportal opzetten en integreren met verschillende paymentproviders, zoals Authorize en PayPal. Voor gebruikerservaringen kun je zowel op Gathering of Tweakers als op het forum van Ubiquiti terecht. Een demo is op deze pagina te proberen. De aankondiging van versie 5.9.29 ziet er als volgt uit:

Known Issues:

• airTime will not work if a radio is disabled and/or there isn't any SSID present. This will be fixed in a future release. If you enable it, and it still isn't working, then you may need to force a refresh without cache.
• If you start both a 2.4GHz and 5GHz scan in quick succession, then it will fail.
• It is expected that airView will stop occasionally. A stop/start sequence should restore functionality.
• If you start an airTime scan while airView is running, then airView will stop and you'll need to perform a stop/start sequence to get it working again. This will be fixed in the future.
• Port mapping for USG (UGW3) is incorrect under performance statistics. This will be fixed in a future release.
• Some statistics on the dashboard are still under development. Please share any and all feedback!

Jammer dat MongoDB 3.6 nog steeds niet ondersteund wordt. Ik heb een oudere versie met een tweak in een configfile draaien op Ubuntu 18.04, maar ik vrees dat dat bij een upgrade stopt met werken.

Mongodb is nog 1 ding en omheen te werken.
Wat echt jamer is is dat ik hem niet kan instaleren op een vers geinstaleerde ubuntu 18.04 server omdat jsvc niet geinstaleerd kan worden (omdat het nu systemd is maar nog niet aangepast in unifi)
en niet te vergeten dat alle links nog steeds naar 5.8.*** verwijzen

also wat is de tweak die je in de config gebruikt??

I provide no warranty for this, but here's how I worked around the invalid option, for now at least:

1) mv /usr/bin/mongod /usr/bin/mongod.bin
2) put this script at /usr/bin/mongod and chmod +x it:

Maar volgens mij werkt dat alleen als je van een werkende unify op 17.10 naar 18.04 bent geupgrade.

thanks, er is niks wat mij tegenhoud om 17.10 te instaleren dan unifi en vervolgens te upgraden

@Magic: ik zou UniFi onder Dockers gaan draaien, dan heb je geen OS depencies meer bij upgrades.

Welke container gebruik je? Die van mij heeft namelijk geen tag voor de 5.9 serie.

Alleen de 'tags' is niet helemaal goed, want de latest/5.9 tag is 5.9.29.

De linuxserver vind ik zelf wat minder goed, want die gebruikt build nummers en geen versie. Da's teveel moeite om het uit te zoeken ;-) Ikzelf tag de gedownloade images met het juiste versienummer.

Check; ik heb nu gewoon de :latest tag in gebruik. Werkt prima!

Daar heb ik ooit eens mee gestoeid, maar destijds niet goed aan de praat gekregen. Ik moet zeggen dat mijn docker kennis sindsdien wel is verbeterd, dus misschien tijd om er eens opnieuw in te duiken..

Nieuwe dashboard is erg mooi geworden! Duidelijk en overzichtelijk. Jammer dat IPS e.d. niet aan kan bij mij ivm gebrek aan snelheid op een USG3.

Het is idd kiezen tussen IPS (en dan een max 85Mbit naar buiten), of voor de duurdere PRO4 gaan en dan tot 250Mbit. De XP gaat tot 1000. Ik heb de PRO4 en er word me toch een hoop gedetecteerd (ik schrok ervan!)

Inregelen is geen woord. Het is instellen of regelen. Hier in de gebruikte zin is instellen van toepassing.
