Versie 36.0 is uitgekomen van Waterfox. Waterfox is een 64bit-versie van de webbrowser Firefox, iets dat Mozilla wel al lang in ontwikkeling heeft maar nog nooit een stabiele versie van heeft uitgebracht. Het project is in maart 2011 gestart door de toentertijd 16-jarige Alex Kontos. Waterfox is een van de snelste browsers beschikbaar en op de website staan verschillende benchmarks die dat onderbouwen. De browser is alleen verkrijgbaar voor Windows en OS X en door middel van het toevoegen van een taalbestand is het ook in het Nederlands te gebruiken. - CSS3 will-change property implemented. Hints the browser of elements that will be modified. The browser will perform some performance optimization for these
- Changed JavaScript ’const’ semantics to conform better to the ES6 specification. The const declaration is now block-scoped and requires an initializer. It also can not be redeclared anymore
- Improved ES6 generators for better performance
- Eval sources now appear in the Debugger Debug JavaScript code that is evaluated dynamically, either as a string passed to eval() or as a string passed to the Function constructor
- DOM Promises inspection
- Inspector: More paste options in markup view
- CSS gradients work on premultiplied colors
- Fix some unexpected logout from Facebook or Google after restart
- Various security fixes
- Any users on Waterfox 35.0 and 35.0.1 will not be receiving the automatic update as it needs to be signed digitally and there are some issues signing current update files. This should be resolved in the coming week. You can update manually if you want to upgrade to 36.0.
