Op het forum van Winamp is een nieuwe build verschenen van Winamp 5.2. De update heeft versienummer build 359 meegekregen, verkeert nog in bètastadium en is vanaf deze locatie in verschillende uitvoeringen te downloaden. Winamp is in staat om diverse mediabestanden af te spelen. Oorpsronkelijk werd het programma ontwikkeld om mp3-bestanden af te spelen, maar in de loop der tijd is er ondersteuning toegevoegd voor meer formaten. De ontwikkelaars hebben de volgende veranderingen doorgevoerd in Winamp 5.2 beta build 359:
