ATI's focus now will be in the desktop high performance segment and they intend to invest heavily there.Rage 128 Pro - Mainstream
Rage 128 Pro Ultra - Probably a 0.18m enhanced version of Rage 128 Pro.
Radeon - High-end chip, volume shipment in July to entire market, including retail. (Wow does this mean there isn't going to be a delay?!)
RD100 - Radeon technology formed into a more cost effective product, expected to be performance leader in it's segment.
R200 - Second generation Radeon to be released by the end of this calendar year.
R300 - Thrid generation Radeon, revolutionary changes (programmable T&L), to be released during the first half of 2001.
[...] ATI is seriously attacking the high-end market and trying to maintain their positions in mainstream. They plan to have $5 billion dollars in revenue in the next 4 to 5 years. Considering there will be MAXX versions of all their chips now, ATI may be the performance leader. The key to ATI's success will be in sticking to their 3 Radeon generations in 14 months plan and not have any delays. For those who have been waiting for Radeon, you will be happy to know it will be shipping in volume next week and should be available in retail stores sometime next month.
