Gnome is voorzien van een update naar versie 2.32. Gnome is een uitgebreide, gebruiksvriendelijke opensource-desktopomgeving voor besturingssystemen die tot de Unix-familie behoren, zoals GNU/Linux en BSD. De naam is een afkorting voor GNU Network Object Model Environment. Gnome bestaat uit een desktopomgeving plus een ontwikkelplatform waarmee andere applicaties kunnen worden gemaakt, die in de desktopomgeving kunnen worden geïntegreerd. Het is in dat opzicht vergelijkbaar met de KDE SC. De belangrijkste verbeteringen in versie 2.32 zijn hieronder te vinden.
