TransGaming heeft een nieuwe versie uitgebracht van zijn programma Cedega met 5.0.2 als het versienummer. Dit is een eigen implementatie van Microsoft's Win32 Application Programming Interfaces (API) voor het Linux-platform, waarmee het mogelijk is om Windows-spellen op diverse Linux-distributies te spelen wanneer je gebruik maakt van Linux Kernel 2.4 of recenter. De meegeleverde aankondiging ziet er als volgt uit:
TransGaming is pleased to announce the release of Cedega 5.0.2, dubbed Snapper, giving TransGamers access to more Windows games in Linux with greater ease. TransGamers are able to download Cedega in RPM, Debian and TGZ formats from the downloads section of TransGaming's website. Cedega 5.0.2 is a bug fix release designed to enhance the gameplay experience of a number of games.
Version 5.0.2:
- Fix for the new World of WarCraft patch downloader.
- Fix for the upcoming World of WarCraft 1.9 patch that is currently available on the test servers.
- Fix for several Framebuffer Object issues that were introduced with the NVidia 8174 drivers, affecting games such as Battlefield 2.
