Wine is een opensource implementatie van de Windows-api. Dit maakt het mogelijk om DOS- en Windows-programma's op onder andere Linux en macOS te draaien. Van Wine is ook een commerciële versie met ondersteuning beschikbaar, met de naam CrossOver. CodeWeavers brengt CrossOver uit voor Linux, macOS en ChromeOS en zegt ook veel bij te dragen aan de ontwikkeling van Wine zelf. Versie 26.1.0 van CrossOver is uitgebracht en hierin zijn verbeteringen aangebracht om zo diverse applicaties en spellen soepel te laten werken.
Announcing CrossOver 26.1.0This release includes several fixes to get a variety of games and applications working smoothly through CrossOver. Mouse input now works correctly in many Unity games on macOS. Newly working games include The Planet Crafter, Cairn, Timberborn, Berry Bury Berry, Content Warning, Fallout Shelter, No, I’m Not a Human, Waterpark Simulator and MineMogul. Death Stranding 2: On the Beach is also now playable on macOS with a workaround we added. We also fixed the distorted "Add account" window on Quicken and fixed an issue with battle.net installation for certain users.
