Software-update: PTGui 13.5

Changes in PTGui version 13.5:
  • Fixed: the French translation was broken in v13.4.
Changes in PTGui version 13.4:
  • LibRaw was updated to version 0.22. Raw files from the following cameras are now supported: Canon EOS R1, EOS R5 Mark II, Fujifilm X-T50, GFX 100S II, Leica Q3 43, D-Lux8, Nikon Z6-III (no HE/HE* support), Panasonic GH7, S9, Sony ZV-E10M2, UMC-R10C.
  • PTGui can now read the following raw file formats: .MOS (Leaf Aptus), .ERF (Epson), .MEF (Mamiya), .KDC (Kodak), .FFF (Hasselblad) and .STI (sinarback). These formats have been supported by LibRaw for a long time, but the file extensions were not recognized by PTGui as raw files.
  • The OpenEXR library was updated to version 3.4.5. PTGui can now read and write .exr images using HTJ2K256 and HTJ2K32 compression.
  • For HDR output, PTGui can now write TIFF and DNG files in 'half float' format. These files are half the size of the regular 32 bit floating point files. For half float TIFF the headroom is +16EV above white, for half float DNG it is +8EV above white. This is sufficient for many HDR panoramas.
  • Olympus have rebranded the "Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 8mm 1:1.8 Fisheye" lens to "OM 8mm F1.8". PTGui now recognizes both names.
  • DNG output can now be compressed with ZIP (deflate) compression, which is lossless.
  • DNG output can now be compressed with JPEG XL compression. At 100% quality this is lossless, at lower quality it is lossy but filesize is greatly reduced. Since DNG files are (in practice) limited to 4GB in size, this allows for much larger panoramas to be written in DNG format. The files can be read by recent versions of Adobe Camera Raw, Lightroom and Photoshop.
  • When stitching from raw (non-DNG) to DNG, PTGui in most cases now embeds the UniqueCameraModel of the source images in the output DNG. RAW-to-DNG processing is then color neutral (as already was the case when stitching DNG-to-DNG). Adobe Camera Raw will offer its built-in camera-specific profiles.
  • The HDR DNG output now preserves the UniqueCameraModel from the DNG/RAW source images. Previously this was only the case for non-HDR DNG output. As a result, DNG-to-DNG processing is color neutral for HDR as well and Adobe Camera Raw will show the camera-specific profiles.
  • TIFF output can now be compressed with ZIP (deflate) compression, which is lossless, fast and widely supported. This is now the default.
  • TIFF output can now also be compressed with JPEG XL compression. This is not widely supported yet, with the exception of Pano2VR 8 beta. PTGui can also read back TIFF files compressed with JPEG XL. JPEG XL is lossless at 100% quality, and at lower quality it is lossy but filesize is greatly reduced. This is a good option when transferring multi gigapixel panoramas to Pano2VR.
  • Linux: Updated the Nix derivation included in the installer. NixOS users see the instructions in ptgui.nix.
  • Improved the Czech and Italian translations.
  • PTGui can now read all EXIF metadata from Canon CR3 files, including the lens model. Previously for CR3 files this was limited to exposure data only.
  • TIFF and DNG output: the thumbnail image is now compressed, leading to a slightly smaller output file size.
  • The focal length value is now limited to 1,000,000mm. Previously, larger values (such as 1e23) could be entered but this would lead to errors and crashes.
  • Added lens profile for the Teche 360 Anywhere panoramic camera
  • For DNG files containing HDR panoramas: contrary to other HDR file formats such as EXR, the DNG format does not permit values greater than 1.0, so all highlights brighter than the default white level would be clipped. PTGui now works around this limitation by scaling down the pixel data to a much smaller value and increasing the BaselineExposure by an equal amount. Brighter-than-white data is no longer clipped and can be recovered in Adobe Camera Raw and Lightroom by reducing the exposure slider.
  • Fixed: Photoshop output: layer names containing non-ASCII characters (e.g. "Überblendetes Panorama") were not written correctly.
  • Fixed: For the TTArtisan 7.5mm F2, the default cropping circle was slighly too large, causing some vignetting.
  • Fixed: Linux: dragging the scrollbars in the Control Points / Mask / Crop tab could cause PTGui to hang.
  • Fixed: XMP metadata: 'creator' tag would be included twice in the output file's metadata.
  • Fixed: EXR output was broken when outputting multi-gigapixel images. An empty file would be written.
  • Fixed: PTGui could crash when reading multi gigapixel EXR images.
  • Fixed: Creating a patch image for an HDR panorama could result in a patch image having the wrong brightness.
  • Fixed: iPhone images could be rotated wrongly after loading.
  • Fixed: The green indicator in the Post Process side bar in the Panorama Editor would remain off if the exposure was adjusted and DNG output was selected.
  • Fixed: PTGui could crash when loading certain TIFF or DNG files.
  • Fixed: possible Assertion Failed error when working with large projects.
