Software-update: PTGui 13.10

Een regelmatig besproken stukje software in het Foto & Video Workflow-subforum is PTGui. Dit programma richt zich op het maken en aanpassen van samengestelde beelden. Dat kan een verticaal of horizontaal panorama zijn, maar ook één groot beeld met een enorme resolutie dat samengesteld is uit talloze afzonderlijke opnames. Met een stapel foto's als invoer kan het programma daarna zelf uitzoeken hoe ze naast elkaar gezet moeten worden. Voor het rekenintensieve deel kan bovendien via OpenCL de gpu worden ingezet om sneller klaar te zijn. De software is beschikbaar is een standaard- en pro-versie; de verschillen tussen beide worden op deze pagina tegen elkaar afgezet. Sinds versie 13.8 zijn de volgende veranderingen en verbeteringen aangebracht:

Changes in PTGui version 13.10:

• Added profiles for the Insta 360 X6 and the DJI Osmo 360 II cameras.
• For DJI drone images, the gimbal yaw angle is now considered to be the compass angle as well. PTGui will now embed a GPS image direction in the output metadata of panoramas stitched from DJI drone images. This is useful when publishing the panorama to Google Maps or other platforms that use the image direction to orient the panorama correctly. Note that DJI does not publish a GPS image direction in the metadata, and DJI doesn't officially state that the gimbal yaw is the compass angle. Tests show that it is approximately correct but not exact.
• DJI Avata 360: The lens profile was improved, and the images are leveled automatically based on data from the camera's orientation sensor.
• Added a workaround for a bug in DJI Pocket 3. This camera embeds incorrect metadata, which caused PTGui to rotate the images 180 degrees.
• Updated Chinese translations. Many thanks to zhashifu and pluto920!

• Fixed: possible Assertion Failed error after applying a template.
• Fixed: ARW files from the Sony a7M5 would have a black border.

Changes in PTGui version 13.9:

• Fixed: v13.8 had a bug, causing DJI drone images to no longer be placed automatically at the position indicated by the metadata.
• Fixed: When outputting .exr files with DWAB compression, the output files were actually uncompressed (and thus very large).
