GPSoftware heeft versie 11.3 van zijn bestandsmanager Directory Opus uitgebracht. Dit programma is in zekere zin vergelijkbaar met Total Commander, maar dan veel uitgebreider. Directory Opus debuteerde ooit op het Commodore Amiga-platform, waarop het in het begin van de jaren negentig bijzonder populair was. In 1994 is ontwikkelaar Jonathan Potter gaan samenwerken met Greg Perry en sindsdien geeft GPSoftware het programma uit.
Directory Opus is veelzijdig en extreem configureerbaar, zowel wat functionaliteit als wat uiterlijk betreft. Dat is meteen ook het grootste probleem, want het programma kan zeker op beginnende gebruikers complex overkomen. Directory Opus werkt op Windows XP en hoger, en is beschikbaar in een 32bit- en een 64bit-versie. Het programma kan 60 dagen worden getest; daarna moet een licentie van 89 Australische dollar worden aangeschaft, wat neerkomt op ongeveer 60 euro. Sinds versie 10.2 is er ook een minder uitgebreide versie, die net geen 33 euro kost. In deze release is onder meer het beruchte heartbleed-beveiligingsprobleem verholpen.

- Aliases like /hostdocuments are now defined for normal HDD installs, pointing to the same locations as the normal /mydocuments etc. aliases. This allows you to use those aliases in buttons and scripts without worrying about whether or not you are on a USB install.
- When using the Rename dialog and choosing to overwrite an existing file, the recycle bin confirmation dialog could open and then go behind the Lister. This has been fixed.
- The path for configuration backups is now remembered relative to the nearest built-in alias, if possible. For example, if you save your config backup to the desktop folder, it will remember /desktopdir rather than the full path, meaning it will choose the appropriate desktop folder if you then load the same config on another machine where the username, and thus the desktop path, is not the same.
- FTP has been updated to the latest version of the OpenSSL libraries, to fix the "heartbleed" security hole.
