Software-update: TortoiseSVN 1.8.1

De eerste update voor versie 1.8.0 van TortoiseSVN is uitgekomen. Dit programma is een gebruikersinterface voor Subversion, dat door ontwikkelaars wordt gebruikt voor versiebeheer. Het is haast onmisbaar als met verschillende mensen aan een project wordt gewerkt. TortoiseSVN integreert zichzelf als een shell extension in Windows en kan zelfstandig of in combinatie met een ide worden gebruikt. Versie 1.8.1 van TortoiseSVN is gekoppeld aan Subversion versie 1.8.1 en wordt verder met de volgende release notes geleverd:

Op de site staat nog (of weer) 1.8.0.

Op http://tortoisesvn.net/Changelog.txt staat nu ook:

dus ik denk dat ze hem terug getrokken hebben.

1.8.1 staat er inmiddels wel op.

Er zijn ook nog 2 fijne issues met SVN 1.8.x en o.a. CodePlex: http://codeplex.codeplex.com/workitem/26847

Het 1e issue is gefixed in SVN 1.8.1, maar het tweede is nog niet (het is onduidelijk of dat aan CodePlex of aan SVN ligt)

Mijn advies als je CodePlex met SVN gebruikt: blijf nog een tijdje bij SVN 1.7.x.
