Zo'n twee maanden na de eerste release candidate is maandag de finalrelease van Deluge 1.0.0 uitgekomen. Deze Bittorrent-client is ontwikkeld door Zach Tibbitts en Alon Zakai, twee leden van het Ubuntu-forum, en maakt gebruik van libtorrent en Pygtk. Naast versies voor de bekende Linux-distributies wordt Deluge ook voor Windows en Mac OS X uitgebracht. Het programma heeft alles wat je van een Bittorrent-client mag verwachten: Bittorrent-protocolencryptie, mainline dht, upnp, nat-pmp, µTorrent Peer Exchange en de mogelijkheid om het programma op afstand via een webbrowser te beheren. - Your preferences will not be migrated, but your torrent list should be.
- Not all plugins have been ported yet and some have been integrated into the client. If you need support for RSS or Scheduler, then please stick with the 0.5.x branch until these plugins can be properly ported to 1.x
- Deluge will start in 'Classic Mode' where daemon functionality will be hidden in the gtkui. You can disable this in the Preferences->Interface page, but it does require a restart of Deluge.
