Zojuist is er een nieuwe bètarelease van de Windowsversie van het VoIP-programma Skype uitgekomen. Met dit programma, wat ook voor Linux en Mac OS X beschikbaar is, kan gratis met andere gebruikers van dit programma worden gesproken. Ook kan er een abonnement worden genomen (SkypeOut), zodat bellen naar vaste-, mobiele- en buitenlandse nummers mogelijk is. In deze versie zijn onder andere mogelijk de oude geluidjes weer bijgevoegd, voor wie de nieuwe maar niks vond. Het volledige changelog ziet er als volgt uit:
