Prestaties bij gebruikersprogramma's

We draaien ook enkele benchmarks met programma's die daadwerkelijk voor allerlei taken gebruikt worden. Zo kunnen we zien hoe lang de processors erover doen om een bepaalde taak te volbrengen.

De Core i5's verrassen niet met hun prestaties bij het exporteren van een fotocollectie met Lightroom, maar de AMD A6 wel, in negatieve zin. De achterstand van AMD is erg groot.

Ook het doorlopen van een reeks bewerkingen met Photoshop levert een pijnlijke score op voor AMD; de apu doet er dubbel zo lang over om de afbeelding te bewerken. Overigens wordt de gpu hierbij niet gebruikt. Het gaat dus puur om de cpu-prestaties.

Ten slotte levert het renderen van een videoproject met Première Pro CS5 opnieuw een tragische scorelijst op. Het is duidelijk dat AMD geen antwoord heeft op de zuinige Core-chips voor ultrabooks.
