Bij Riva3D vonden ze het leuk om een GeForce2 MX te overclocken. De resultaten vonden ze ook leuk, de core op 220 MHz en het geheugen op 210 MHz bleek de kaart ca. 25% sneller te maken :
One of the main features of the MX is its low power consumption: <4 watts. NVIDIA touts this as being a great feature because the chip can run without a heat sink or fan. But what would the chip be capable of doing WITH a heatsink/fan combo as far as overclocking?
[...] As you can clearly see, overclocking the GeForce 2 MX to its maximum setting gives an overall performance increase in 15% in the 3DMark2000 overall score. But most significant is the 20-30% + increase in such categories as fill rate and polygon count. While not a match for the GeForce 2 card, the MX shows the capability for excellent overclocking, and that makes the MX a GREAT value: 77% of the GeForce 2 performance for 40% of the GeForce 2 price? I predict the GeForce 2 MX will be a HUGE seller.
