Bij Akiba's PC Watch (Wazige Japanse Site) is een AMD roadmap te vinden. Dankzij Ace's Hardware kan iedereen weten wat er bij de roadmap gezegd wordt:
According to the article, the 1.1 GHz Thunderbird, using a 200 MHz FSB, will debut in the middle of the third-quarter. A 1.13 GHz version will also be available, apparently, for use with a 266 MHz FSB. By mid-Q4, the article expects to see Thunderbirds at 1.2 GHz (200 MHz) as well as 1.33 GHz.
The article reiterates statements made earlier by AMD that they will reach 1.5 GHz by January 2001. The 1.5 GHz chip will be the Mustang, according to this roadmap.[break]En dan nog een heel interessante mededeling over de compatibiliteit van Thunderbirds met de VIA KX133 chipset:[/break]There is also some further information that while Thunderbirds produced with Aluminum interconnects (Austin FAB25) will work with the KX133 chipset, versions with Copper interconnects (Dresden FAB30) have compatibility problems.
