Sitera Incorporated and Kingston® Technology Company, Inc. today announced that the Sitera Network Acceleration Platform is shipping with high-bandwidth memory technology supplied by Kingston. Using Rambus® interface technology, the Sitera PRISM IQ2000 Network Processor is able to support a 12.8 gigabits per second data path to Kingston's RIMM™ modules. As a result, the Sitera Network Processor is able to provide wire-speed packet processing while enabling memory intensive, advanced network services.
Kingston Technology Company, Inc., having worked with Intel Corporation and Rambus Inc., over several years, has been instrumental in facilitating the market ramp of the new Rambus memory technology and is now working with Sitera to target the rapidly growing market of communications.
"The ramp of Rambus memory technology across the PC and Communications market coupled with three years of Kingston expertise will enable Kingston to provide premium quality RIMM modules to customers worldwide," said Al Soni, Vice President, Services Division, Kingston. "With the right industry partnerships, technology and dedicated people, Kingston leads the delivery of premium-quality Rambus memory modules."
