Software-update: Paint.NET 2.6 beta 1

Na twee alpharelease heeft zojuist de eerste betarelease van Paint.NET versie 2.6 het levenslicht gezien. Paint.NET is een open source fotobewerkingsprogramma wat het midden houdt tussen het met Windows meegeleverde MS Paint en een programma als Photoshop of Paint Shop Pro. Het werkt alleen onder Windows 2000, XP en 2003 Server (zowel de 32- als 64-bits versie) en heeft versie 2.0 het .NET FrameWork nodig om zijn werk te kunnen doen. Door het installeren van dit taalbestand kan het programma ook in het Nederlands worden gebruikt. Hieronder zijn de veranderingen te vinden die na het uitkomen van alpha 2 zijn aangebracht:

Changes in this release:

• New "Curves" adjustment for editing the color curves of an image
• UI elements that are drawn on the image canvas are now visible if they go outside the canvas

• has to save half as much as it used to, and it is now much more responsive as a result

• Mouse wheel zooming now centers on where the mouse is located
• Mouse wheel zooming is now more granular/smooth
• Line/Curve Tool 'nubs' can now be hidden by tapping the Ctrl key
• Pressing Enter or Esc now finishes a selection with the Move tools
• Fixed a Paintbrush Tool crash
• Fixed a Rotate/Zoom bug
• Fixed many bugs related to scrolling and zooming
• Fixed some layout bugs related to the Layers form
• Fixed some keyboard/mouse input and focus issues with the toolbars
• Fixed printing transparent regions showing up as black instead of 'transparent' (white) on paper
