TransGaming heeft enkele uren geleden een nieuwe versie uitgebracht van het programma Cedega, voorheen beter bekend onder de naam WineX. Dit is eigen implementatie van Microsoft's Win32 Application Programming Interfaces (API) voor het Linux-platform, waarmee het mogelijk is om Windows-spellen op diverse Linux-distributies te spelen. Het versienummer is inmiddels aangekomen bij 4.4.2 en heeft als bijnaam "Whiz" meegekregen van de ontwikkelaars. De release notes zien er als volgt uit:

Our team tackled issues with the recently supported Guild Wars and one of our most popular games of all time, the ever classic Diablo II. The recently released hot fixes for both of these games found their way into 4.4.2. As well, a fix for Guild wars animation issues has been included, providing better visual correctness and a more enjoyable gaming experience when using Pixel Shaders.
New Features:
- Fix for disjointed animations in Guild Wars when pixel shaders are enabled.
- Fix for the Guild Wars issues caused by the Sorrow's Furnace update. This was previously released as a hotfix.
- Fix for the Diablo II: Battle.net issues caused by the 1.11b update. This was previously released as a hotfix.
