Futuremark heeft vandaag een update uitgebracht voor 3DMark05. De benchmark is hierdoor aangekomen bij build 1.2.0 en kan via deze pagina vanaf verschillende servers gedownload worden. 3DMark05 is de nieuwste telg van een van de meest gebruikte benchmarkseries. De software test voornamelijk de videokaart, maar neemt ook de processor onder handen. Nadat de benchmark de twee componenten flink heeft laten zwoegen, wordt de score berekend die vervolgens vergeleken kan worden met andere resultaten. In de nieuwe 1.2.0-uitvoering zijn de volgende zaken aangepast:

- 3DMark05 (Build 1.2.0) is currently the only supported version of 3DMark05. Users are not able to submit any results to the Online ResultBrowser with any of the older versions of 3DMark05.
- 3DMark05 (Build 1.2.0) is available both as a patch (3.2MB) and as a full install (283MB).
- The registration codes for 3DMark05 (Build 1.0.0 and Build 1.1.0) also work for 3DMark05 Build 1.2.0
