Software-update: 1Password 8.12.32

Voor de veiligheid is het beter om voor ieder account een ander en sterk wachtwoord te gebruiken. Als een bepaalde dienst wachtwoorden laat uitlekken, zijn niet al je andere accounts met hetzelfde wachtwoord toegankelijk. Voor het bijhouden van al deze verschillende wachtwoorden zijn wachtwoordmanagers een uitkomst. 1Password is er hier een van en is beschikbaar als webapplicatie, als app op verschillende platforms en als extensie voor de meestgebruikte browsers. Het kan twee weken geprobeerd worden, waarna een licentie moet worden aangeschaft. Voor meer informatie over de mogelijkheden verwijzen we naar deze pagina. In versie 8.12.32 zijn de volgende veranderingen en verbeteringen doorgevoerd:

• We’ve improved localization for a number of our supported languages.
• We’ve fixed an issue where you could be asked to sign in multiple times after changing your account password.
• We’ve fixed an issue where separate windows (such as Settings) could show the main 1Password window’s title instead of their own.
• We’ve fixed an issue where some attachments didn’t upload when adding multiple files to a Document item using drag and drop.
• Item date fields now use the date format you’ve chosen in your system settings. If you’ve set a language in 1Password that’s different from your system, dates use that language’s format instead.
• When you use Auto-Type to fill into an unsigned or untrusted app, 1Password now asks for confirmation instead of silently failing.
• 1Password no longer leaves extra background processes running when you use a custom Chromium-based browser that isn’t in your additional browsers list.
• 1Password now uses your “Use your device’s Trusted Platform Module to unlock” setting consistently when storing unlock data.
• When you use “Type in window” to fill a username or password into another app, the window selection menu now shows an app icon next to each open window.
• We’ve fixed a typo in the Settings > Security > Windows Hello settings text.
• We’ve fixed an issue where some fields of a Bitwarden Identity item weren’t imported into 1Password.
• We’ve fixed an issue where unsaved changes could be lost while editing an item type created with a custom template.
• We’ve fixed an issue where rich icons of some imported items didn’t appear until the item was edited.
• We’ve fixed an issue where typing in an item’s Title or Website field and pressing Enter could save an autocomplete suggestion instead of what you typed.
• We’ve fixed an issue where 1Password appeared to be offline when some changes hadn’t synced, instead of telling you those changes were still waiting to sync.
• We’ve fixed a typo in the 1Password MCP server setup instructions.

• We’ve fixed an issue where the 1Password browser extension in Safari couldn’t connect to the 1Password app.
• You can now use 1Password for Claude to let Claude sign in to websites on your behalf. After you approve each request, 1Password fills your login or one-time code without sharing your credentials with Claude.
• You can now use 1Password as a macOS AutoFill provider to natively fill and save credentials in Safari and other apps.
• We’ve improved localization for a number of our supported languages.
• We’ve fixed an issue where you could be asked to sign in multiple times after changing your account password.
• When 1Password quits unexpectedly, the crash report popup now includes clearer instructions.

• We’ve updated several buttons throughout the app to use the iOS 26 Liquid Glass style.
• When you drag and drop large files into a Document item, 1Password now warns you before uploading them over cellular data or a metered connection.
• The Home screen now switches to All Accounts when you unlock a second account while using the app, and back to showing just that account when only one account is unlocked.
• We’ve fixed an issue where unsaved changes could be lost while editing an item type created with a custom template.

• We’ve fixed an issue where saving a Diagnostic Report to Files and sharing it with AirDrop didn’t work. Sending is now split into “Email Diagnostic Report to Support” and “Export Diagnostic Report file”.
• We’ve fixed an issue where the keyboard could cover scrollable content while searching on iPad.
• We’ve fixed an issue on iPad where new windows could appear blank or fail to load, such as when you open an item in a new window or open a new main window after closing the original.
• When you create a new passkey, 1Password no longer offers to replace an existing passkey that’s still active on the website.

1Password 8.12.32 in the browser

• You can now use 1Password for Claude to let Claude sign in to websites on your behalf. After you approve each request, 1Password fills your login or one-time code without sharing your credentials with Claude.
• You can now choose whether 1Password offers to save API credentials for shell plugins in Settings > Autofill & save. Saving shell plugin credentials now uses the same autosave notification as other logins.
• If you try to paste your Secret Key for your 1Password account into a website, 1Password now blocks the paste and opens the extension to help protect your account.
• We’ve improved localization for a number of our supported languages.
• We’ve fixed an issue where you could be asked to sign in multiple times after changing your account password.
• 1Password now prevents automatic sign-in to 1Password.com during an Agentic Mode session.
• The phishing warning settings have moved to Settings > Security & privacy > Phishing prevention, and there’s now a separate setting for the popup phishing warning.
• When you select “Hide on this page”, all other 1Password notifications are now hidden on that page too, except Device Trust notifications.
• Notifications that offer to save a login or passkey now use a question instead of a statement (for example, “Save login?”) so it’s clearer you can save or dismiss it.
• We’ve fixed an issue where suggested item titles could be shortened when the site name ended with text that looked like a domain extension, such as “Intercom” becoming “Inter”.
• We’ve fixed an issue where the browser extension could show a blank tab instead of an error page.
• We’ve fixed an issue where 1Password appeared to be offline when some changes hadn’t synced, instead of telling you those changes were still waiting to sync.
• We’ve fixed an issue where saved logins didn’t appear in the Autofill menu on login pages that say “Welcome” and ask for your username first.
• 1Password now correctly fills passwords on alahlynet.com.eg, sftp.savvymoney.com, and secureweb.aglc.ca.
• We’ve fixed an issue where 1Password could fill a one-time code into the GitLab two-factor grace-period field.
• We’ve fixed an issue where one-time codes on FortiGate admin login pages could trigger the password generator.
• 1Password now correctly offers to generate a password on the Rivian account creation page.
• We’ve fixed an issue where 1Password suggested a new password in the confirm password field on the DigitalOcean account page.
• We’ve fixed an issue where 1Password suggested a new password on the vinted.hu login form.
• We’ve fixed an issue where 1Password incorrectly offered to fill identity information into timesheet fields on Deltek Costpoint.
• We’ve fixed an issue where the sign-up page on Ticketmatic was incorrectly treated as a login page.
• We’ve fixed an issue where a temporary network interruption could unnecessarily lock your account in the browser extension.
• We’ve fixed an issue where the sign-in banner could appear when a newsletter sign-up field used the term “daily digest”.
• We’ve fixed an issue where the Help page in Settings could be unavailable when other settings failed to load.
• We’ve fixed an issue where 1Password didn’t automatically submit some login forms after filling.
• We’ve fixed an issue where the “Ready, set, internet” step during setup could be cut off on smaller screens.
• We’ve fixed an issue where Sign in with Google could get stuck when the site showed a “Continue as” button for a Google account you were already signed in to.
• We’ve fixed an issue with SSO enrollment where the extension could send you to the desktop app to approve a device even when that app wasn’t signed in to the account, leaving you unable to finish setup.

Ik gebruik nog steeds 1Password 7 op mijn Apple apparaten, en alles synchroniseert netjes met iCloud.  Het is ook nog eens gratis.  Zijn er overtuigende redenen om over te stappen naar 1Password 8?
