Voor de veiligheid is het beter om voor ieder account een ander en sterk wachtwoord te gebruiken. Als een bepaalde dienst wachtwoorden laat uitlekken, zijn niet al je andere accounts met hetzelfde wachtwoord toegankelijk. Voor het bijhouden van al deze verschillende wachtwoorden zijn wachtwoordmanagers een uitkomst. 1Password is er hier een van en is beschikbaar als webapplicatie, als app op verschillende platforms en als extensie voor de meestgebruikte browsers. - You can now choose whether 1Password offers to save API credentials for shell plugins in Settings > Autofill & save. Saving shell plugin credentials now uses the same autosave notification as other logins.
- If you try to paste your Secret Key for your 1Password account into a website, 1Password now blocks the paste and opens the extension to help protect your account.

- 1Password now prevents automatic sign-in to 1Password.com during an Agentic Mode session.
- The phishing warning settings have moved to Settings > Security & privacy > Phishing prevention, and there’s now a separate setting for the popup phishing warning.
- When you select “Hide on this page”, all other 1Password notifications are now hidden on that page too, except Device Trust notifications.
- Notifications that offer to save a login or passkey now use a question instead of a statement (for example, “Save login?”) so it’s clearer you can save or dismiss it.
- We’ve fixed an issue where suggested item titles could be shortened when the site name ended with text that looked like a domain extension, such as “Intercom” becoming “Inter”.
