Software-update: 1Password 8.12.34

Voor de veiligheid is het beter om voor ieder account een ander en sterk wachtwoord te gebruiken. Als een bepaalde dienst wachtwoorden laat uitlekken, zijn niet al je andere accounts met hetzelfde wachtwoord toegankelijk. Voor het bijhouden van al deze verschillende wachtwoorden zijn wachtwoordmanagers een uitkomst. 1Password is er hier een van en is beschikbaar als webapplicatie, als app op verschillende platforms en als extensie voor de meestgebruikte browsers. Het kan twee weken geprobeerd worden, waarna een licentie moet worden aangeschaft. Voor meer informatie over de mogelijkheden verwijzen we naar deze pagina. In versie 8.12.34 zijn de volgende veranderingen en verbeteringen doorgevoerd:

1Password 8.12.34 for Windows

• You can now use 1Password.com to add your account to the 1Password app without needing to re-enter your password, Secret Key, or an SSO verification code.
• If you copy an account detail in the Manage Accounts pop-up, it’ll no longer appear in your device’s clipboard history.
• We’ve fixed an issue where long file paths could hide the add or remove buttons for browsers in Settings > Browser.
• Prompts related to offline items are now displayed more if you have items that can’t be synced with your 1Password account, including deleted items.
• You can now select Offline Items in the sidebar if you have any items that can’t be synced with your 1Password account.
• We’ve fixed a few issues related to connecting an Environment to GitHub Actions, including the example workflow snippet and link to documentation.
• We’ve removed the 1Password MCP Server from Settings > Labs now that it’s available in Settings > Developer.

1Password 8.12.34 for Linux

• You can now use 1Password.com to add your account to the 1Password app without needing to re-enter your password, Secret Key, or an SSO verification code.
• You can now use auto-lock in KDE Plasma on Wayland, along with other Wayland environments that support the ext_idle_notifier_v1 protocol.
• If you copy an account detail in the Manage Accounts pop-up, it’ll no longer appear in your device’s clipboard history.
• We’ve fixed an issue where long file paths could hide the add or remove buttons for browsers in Settings > Browser.
• Prompts related to offline items are now displayed more if you have items that can’t be synced with your 1Password account, including deleted items.

• We’ve fixed an issue where the 1Password repository configuration could cause a GPG verification error when you installed the 1Password app on Fedora 41 or later.

• We’ve improved how the list of accounts and vaults is displayed when you save a passkey as a new item using Autofill on a Mac.
• You can now see why Claude is requesting access to specific items by selecting the button to the right of each item in the 1Password for Claude prompt.

• We’ve fixed an issue where the app could crash if you opened your browser from the Autofill Health Check screen.
• We’ve fixed an issue in the Autofill pop-up where the app could get stuck if you selected Save & Fill on a new Login item that didn’t have a password.
• Prompts related to offline items are now displayed more if you have items that can’t be synced with your 1Password account, including deleted items.
• We’ve fixed an issue where the option to scan a QR code could fail on devices that didn’t have Google Play Services.

1Password 8.12.34 for iOS

• We’ve fixed an issue in the Autofill pop-up where the option to move an item wouldn’t work.
• We’ve fixed an issue with Autofill where 1Password could fill an outdated password.
• Prompts related to offline items are now displayed more if you have items that can’t be synced with your 1Password account, including deleted items.

1Password 8.12.34 in the browser

• 1Password for Claude can now sign in with logins set up to use supported sign-in providers.
• We’ve fixed an issue where the 1Password browser extension wouldn’t sync properly after you switched to SSO if it was enforced by your administrator, assuming the browser extension was connected to the 1Password app.
• We’ve fixed an issue where the 1Password browser extension pop-up could crash if you filtered your list of vaults in the Accounts & Vaults menu.
• We’ve fixed an issue where 1Password would offer to save a login from email address fields on some newsletter and marketing forms.
• We’ve fixed an issue where 1Password would offer to create a new password instead of filling an existing one on websites where the password field was labeled as “passphrase”.
• We’ve fixed an issue where the password field was not recognized on Kiteworks sign-in pages.
• We’ve fixed an issue where the 1Password browser extension wouldn’t properly enforce applied policies when you first signed in or after you reset it and signed back in.
