Voor de veiligheid is het beter om voor ieder account een ander en sterk wachtwoord te gebruiken. Als een bepaalde dienst wachtwoorden laat uitlekken, zijn niet al je andere accounts met hetzelfde wachtwoord toegankelijk. Voor het bijhouden van al deze verschillende wachtwoorden zijn wachtwoordmanagers een uitkomst. 1Password is er hier een van en is beschikbaar als webapplicatie, als app op verschillende platforms en als extensie voor de meestgebruikte browsers. Het kan twee weken geprobeerd worden, waarna een licentie moet worden aangeschaft. Voor meer informatie over de mogelijkheden verwijzen we naar deze pagina. In versie 8.12.34 zijn de volgende veranderingen en verbeteringen doorgevoerd:

- We’ve fixed an issue where the option to scan a QR code could fail on devices that didn’t have Google Play Services.
1Password 8.12.34 in the browser
- We’ve fixed an issue in the Autofill pop-up where the option to move an item wouldn’t work.
- We’ve fixed an issue with Autofill where 1Password could fill an outdated password.

- 1Password for Claude can now sign in with logins set up to use supported sign-in providers.
- We’ve fixed an issue where the 1Password browser extension wouldn’t sync properly after you switched to SSO if it was enforced by your administrator, assuming the browser extension was connected to the 1Password app.
- We’ve fixed an issue where the 1Password browser extension pop-up could crash if you filtered your list of vaults in the Accounts & Vaults menu.
- We’ve fixed an issue where 1Password would offer to save a login from email address fields on some newsletter and marketing forms.
- We’ve fixed an issue where 1Password would offer to create a new password instead of filling an existing one on websites where the password field was labeled as “passphrase”.
- We’ve fixed an issue where the password field was not recognized on Kiteworks sign-in pages.
- We’ve fixed an issue where the 1Password browser extension wouldn’t properly enforce applied policies when you first signed in or after you reset it and signed back in.
